ICS Thrive provides on-site programs for New Yorkers with physical disabilities to gather, learn, and enjoy meaningful activities. Thrive is an essential part of our mission to help people remain healthy and independent in their communities.

This holiday season, your gift will support programming that keeps participants active, connected, and engaged. Thrive offers a safe and supportive environment where members can explore new interests and build confidence.

A participant recently shared, “It is not always the case that you join a program where staff feel like family and make you feel safe.”

Your donation helps provide adaptive fitness classes, creative arts, health education, nutrition workshops, and social events that reduce isolation and promote well-being.

Helping New Yorkers Thrive All Year Long

Many Thrive participants live with physical disabilities as well as chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Thrive addresses these challenges by creating opportunities for movement, learning, creativity, and connection.

Thrive’s weekly programming includes opportunities to:

• Learn about practical topics such as healthcare, financial planning, and nutrition;
• Engage in health education around specific health conditions;
• Engage in self-expression such as art, writing, and music;
• Participate in adapted exercise such as yoga and wheelchair Zumba; and
• Attend social gatherings and outings such as game nights and baseball games.

Thrive is located in an accessible community space in Brooklyn and is supported by a warm and dedicated staff who encourage healthy and positive lifestyles.
